ORIGINAL

LET ME
EXPLAIN.

The original mix has a tempo that stayed the same mostly at 100. So I had to switch it up.

LET ME EXPLAIN

In the mix labeled Tempo mapped you’ll notice I kept the tempo the same for the chorus. I did pull the tempo up to 105 for the first rap verse. I also changed the tempo to 105 for the second rap verse ending the verse with a 103 tempo and tailing the song back with a 100 tempo. As you make way to the next mix titled double time you’ll see I made a wav stem from my tempo mix. I then made a new session uploading a drummer track and a new .wav stem. I took the stem track and made it into a groove track to allow myself access to the original groove in the stem. I tried to line the drummer track up with both normal time double time on the rap verses and my last mix titled SFX remix I decided to take the last rap verse of bankroll and add sound designs using my midi keyboard as well as loop packs in my logic DAW. Listening you’ll hear I transitioned into the rap verse by using a car screech for the start of the transition. I also decided to add ear candy by using these loops as well as cutting the beat in a part of the verse that I felt would really keep the attention of the listeners and give a mental visual. I did add a massive drone wave lead during the beat cut so it wasn’t completely acapella. You’ll also hear me trying to using a group of females laughing as ear candy when the rapper rap about women laughing at him and a camera flick sound when he raps about guys in the pictures hating on him. Ending the sound design with sirens to match his last line. These sounds were used with EQ’s, DeEssers, space and Stereo Delays as well as compressors. I topped them with Exciters and used bus tracks for a chroma verb and denoiser plug ins to get the sounds I was hoping for. I hope you enjoy.
